April 17th, 2000 - Pritchett Canyon, Moab, Utah, USA
Trip report - Page 2:
There were some deep mud holes on the trail, with some
steep sides to test the Unimog's articulation.
Rob, as usual, goes for the mud whole hog...
Bill C. picks up some mud on his tires.
The rest of the gang winds along the trail, heading for the canyon
crossing that is the next diffcult spot.
Here, the trail drops down off of the side of the canyon,
winds down into the bottom, and then
climbs up a tall shelf onto the other side of the canyon. Chuck's
Suzuki Samurai needed a helping hand to get up the shelf, and there were plenty
of folks to help.
There is also another path that skips the steep shelf,
as you can see here, just below Rob's Mog.
A little further up the trail, there is an optional path that includes
several large rocks to climb over. Rob is working his way over one of them.
and here is Dan on another one. That's a bit too tippy for me!
Heading up the ridge after the rocks.
Bill G. tops the ridge just ahead of Kent. We stopped
here to regroup, and let some Jeeps go by.
The next play place is called the Hot Tub. Kai, as usual, makes it look easy.
